As Australia's national identity and cyber support service, we combine technical expertise with human-centred care to empower people when they need it most.

We're seeking an enthusiastic and relationship-focused Community Engagement Coordinator to formulate and deliver our outreach and community education programs as well as support our external engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support the delivery of IDCARE's Outreach strategy and community engagement initiatives, specifically our small business resilience service.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups, government agencies, service providers, and other key stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of accessible community resources, educational content, and awareness campaigns.
• Support strategic events, stakeholder engagement activities, and community recognition initiatives.
• Assist with reporting, evaluation, and continuous improvement of outreach and engagement activities.
• Travel periodically to support community engagement activities and stakeholder meetings.
• Assist the CEO in preparing external communications including media talking points, briefing notes, presentations, stakeholders correspondence, policy submissions and advocacy initiatives to support IDCARE's strategic objectives and community impact.

With your solid background in community engagement, customer service, stakeholder relations, education, social services, communications, community development, or a related field, you are a strong communicator who enjoys building relationships and making a positive impact in the community. You are adaptable, proactive, and passionate about supporting people from diverse backgrounds.

You bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience preparing professional communications, reports, briefing materials, media content, or policy-related documentation.
• Cultural awareness and the ability to work respectfully with diverse communities.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear and accessible information.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A genuine passion for community empowerment and creating positive social outcomes.
