Identity Care Australia and New Zealand (IDCARE) is Australia’s national identity and cyber support community service. In addition to providing community members, small businesses, and organisations with specialist client care where personal, account and credential information is compromised, we produce insightful data and intelligence products to enhance Australia’s cybercrime response resilience.

IDCARE is an office-based work environment with this role based out of our Birtinya Head Office.

About the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to drive organisational growth, identify new business opportunities, and build strategic relationships that enhance IDCARE’s market position and financial sustainability. This is a senior role with national scope, requiring a high level of autonomy, strategic insight, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and secure new clients through direct engagement, referrals, networking, and collaboration.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to support retention and satisfaction.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement business development strategies, including the introduction of new products and services to drive revenue growth.
  • Proposal and Contract Management: Develop tailored business proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure agreements that align with IDCARE’s charitable and commercial objectives.
  • Marketing and Market Research: Lead market research initiatives to inform strategy, direct external marketing providers, and implement contemporary marketing and media engagement programs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align service offerings with market needs and client feedback.

About you

The successful candidate will possess highly developed interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and external partners. They will be a confident communicator, capable of leading complex discussions, negotiating effectively, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Strong time management and prioritisation skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing demands in a dynamic environment. The role also requires a conceptual and analytical thinker who can translate complex challenges into strategic, actionable solutions. Experience with government contracts will be highly regarded.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships at a senior level.
  • Strong understanding of markets and sectors relevant to IDCARE’s mission, with the ability to identify and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A track record of building trust and cultivating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

The successful candidate is required to return a positive national police check and hold a current working with children check. These checks will be facilitated by IDCARE for the successful candidate.
